BRIEF
This project was an exercise in using design thinking to revitalize a section of London's iconic Elephant & Castle Shopping Center. We aimed to highlight the eclectic personality of the shopping center, breathe new life into its forgotten corners, and raise awareness of the vendors’ struggle to preserve their independent businesses and culture from the impending gentrification of the Elephant & Castle area.
The “Elephant & Castle Is…” campaign showcased the stories of individuals who frequent Elephant & Castle, accenting their stories with vibrant color and abstract geometric forms to convey the collegial, multicultural heritage of the area.
